Play Day at Beaver Lake! (Memorial Day Weekend)

Bring a premade side or something to throw on the grill and let’s enjoy a lakeside BBQ together. (Consider bringing your family’s mess kits, but compostable utensils and plates are fine if you don’t have them!) Don’t forget plenty of water and sunscreen for the day in addition to your life jackets!

In addition to the swim beach, there is a playground, restroom, and lots of picnicking areas along the shoreline to the north of the swim beach — the pavilion has been rented by someone else, so this is NOT a space we will be using — if you have a canopy to set up for shade, you may consider bringing one. Unfortunately since we’ve had to move swim beaches due to others being closed, I’m unfamiliar with any kayak rentals in this area — if someone else is, please post on the event page to inform us! Don’t forget your fishing license if you plan to fish.

Keep in mind that parking is likely to be competitive for Memorial Day weekend — you may consider carpooling and/or arriving early. Parking on the grass isn’t allowed, and there is a $5/vehicle day use fee.
